Long Experience in the Trades
Gary Isham brings a variety of strengths to home renovation projects, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, because he has long experience in the trades and has experience with a wide variety of projects.
Because he is experienced in the trades, he is able to clearly describe the scope of a project at its outset. In my experience he’s never missed a requirement or caused delay in a project. Because he is able to accurately estimate material and task duration, Gary is able to provide and meet quality job duration estimates.
My personal experience with Gary’s work includes two complete bathroom renovations, a complete remodeling of a walk-in closet, master bedroom and master bathroom involving a new tankless water heater and electrical panel, replacement of casement windows involving the installation of exterior sills and framing, and the remodeling of what had previously been a laundry room into a family room area, including the installation of new drywall, windows and track lighting.
Smaller projects he’s completed in my home include bedroom and closet door replacement, construction of new kitchen floor underlayment required by a dishwasher failure, and work incidental to keeping an older home weather tight and in good maintenance.
Gary has the ability to identify the category and quality of building materials necessary to complete a project, for example, when he specified and installed a driveway drainage system. The material he specified and the manner in which he installed the material have withstood daily passage of 5,000 pound vehicles without a problem.
Gary is familiar with Lafayette building codes, and in the course of the work with which I’m familiar, has always obtained sign-offs on the first visit, including preliminary inspections.
